Angie Collins

Here is a little about myself.  I was homeschooled when I was a kid. My husband and I have 4 incredible, dynamically different kids. In 2021 we bought a small farm and started a family company, The Collins Farmhouse, we raise chickens, sell eggs, and fresh fruits and veggies.

In addition, we love hands-on, investigative learning. My 17 year old daughter loves art, theater and more. She will be using her skills and love of learning to be teaching Creative arts. My 15 year old son wants to be a Vet and will be a Teacher’s aid this year at Enriched. He loves kids, and animals are having an adventure everyday.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”

Winston Churchill

My name is Sean and I live in Lincoln with my wife and five children. We’ve been homeschooling all our kids for the past ten years and enjoy being able to share our love of learning with our them. Personally, I have taught and worked with youth for almost 20 years and love challenging them to pursue critical thinking and problem solving. In the sparse moments when I’m not teaching or caring for my family, I like playing strategic board games and going on hikes. I look forward to getting to know the families that make up Enriched and helping create a culture centered on community and growth.

I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.

Missie Shimizu is a CA credentialed teacher and a former first grade teacher.  She began her homeschooling journey when her son was diagnosed with dyslexia.  While homeschooling her children she became involved with homeschool support groups and co-ops.  She also taught classes for homeschoolers for the past eight years.  She believes that each child is unique and thus, so is their approach to learning.  Homeschooling offers the ability to tap into that individual learning process with success. She also tutored her son along with a friend’s child with a dyslexic specific program and can help your child if needed.
